OPERATIONS
Intercity STC operates in all the major cities
in Ghana including Cote d’vore, Burkina Faso and Cotonou
in the West Africa sub-region Departures are strictly scheduled,
using state-of-the-art buses and a well-trained and maintained
driver corps.
Maintenance workshops are also strategically
located in the major cities and are mandated to inspects and maintains
all company buses passing through those cities.
Information technology is an integral component
of Intercity STC’s operations. I. T. systems support the
purchasing of tickets, scheduling of buses, processing of traffic
information, operations planning, payroll, finance functions,
monitoring of revenue and other functions.

Schedules
InterCity STC runs a scheduled transportation
system, affording our cherished customers the convenience of planning
their travel.
Although based on commercial viability, thus
apportioning some routes a fewer number of services, the system
also provides useful options for these routes via other routes.
For example, although the system currently provides
an average of four (4) services a day from Accra to Cape Coast,
customers traveling on this route may choose from any of the eleven
(11) daily services from Accra to Takoradi (a service that stops
over at Cape Coast).
An added-on convenience for InterCity STC customers
is the provision of an Advance Ticket Service.
Routes
InterCity STC has the farthest reach and widest
network on the local market.
With the exception of Koforidua, InterCity STC
runs services to and from all Regional Capitals in Ghana. The
Company’s parcels service, the Package Express, also delivers
packages to all of these destinations.
Apart from these Regional Capitals, InterCity
STC also runs services to and from other local destinations, and
three (3) West African countries namely Cote d’Ivoire, Burkina
Faso and Benin.
The Company boasts of nineteen (19) local and
three (3) international stations.
These include:
Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi, Tamale, Bolgatanga,
Bawku, Tema, Tudu, Aflao Berekum, Cape-Coast, Dormaa-Ahenkro,
Fumbisi, Hohoe, Ho, Kpandu, Paga, Sunyani, Wa, Abidjan, Ouagadougou,
and Cotonou.
Countries
InterCity STC currently operates in four (4)
West African countries.
• GHANA, COTE D’IVOIRE, BURKINA FASO,
and BENIN
The Company also operates through TOGO to and
from Benin, although it does not have a station in this country.
